Rail Trails (within 100 km)

Perfect for easy cruising, families, and riders who want to soak in the scenery.
The fully completed Northern Rivers Rail Trail will be approximately 132 km long,
connecting Murwillumbah to Casino. Currently, two sections are open:

  • Murwillumbah (via Mooball) to Crabbes Creek (24 km one-way / 48 km return)
  • Casino to Lismore (29.7 km one-way / 59.4 km return)
    (made up of the 13.4 km Casino to Bentley section and the Lismore to Bentley section).
    Newly opened, linking town to countryside. We now offer shuttles to Casino. (T&C’s apply, read more under ‘Shuttles’).

Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (WITHIN 200 KM)

  • Spanning 161 kilometres through the breathtaking Queensland countryside,
    this trail offers a unique opportunity to explore the region’s rich history and stunning landscapes.

  • Tweed Coast Cycleway – Pottsville • Cabarita Beach • Kingscliff A total of ≈17 km one way / 34 km return. Ride it in sections or all together:
    • Pottsville to Cabarita Beach (≈8 km one way / 16 km return)
    • Cabarita Beach to Kingscliff (≈9 km one way / 18 km return)
    Surface: fully sealed coastal path, family-friendly with some quiet road sections near Pottsville
    • Ballina to Lennox Head Cycle Path – Ballina town to Lennox Head (≈13 km one way / 26 km return)
      Surface: sealed coastal cycleway with stunning ocean views
